One of the most prolific coaches I have ever played for made us utter words in every meeting and to break every huddle. “Put yourself in position so that if something good will happen; It Will” Never used to hit home until life really unfolded before myself. My dreams have always resided in playing football on the professional level. I have used every motivational tactic known to man to achieve this feat. I have an unsung love and devotion towards the game and always have due to the life lessons it teaches. Discipline, Unity, Dedication, Respect, and Heart just to name a few. The waking up at 4:45 am to take supplements stretch and go for a jog. The workouts. The intensity of the workouts. The sweat. The grunts. The strains. The wind sprints. The bleachers. The agility cones and ladders. The slipping on the track. The falling on the grass from exhaustion. The feeling of accomplishment. The understanding that while I am sleep someone is up somewhere out working me. The knowing that you can only get one shot at some things and those opportunities only come around once in a life time. Making the most of what you have. Never under estimating your own potential. Or the experience or heart of your competitor. Bottom line, the position you make for yourself, as well as adopt in thought, makes all the difference. All in all, no matter what people think you are doing or have to ‘hate’ on you about; keep striving. Your position is your position is your position, play it, adapt to it, or pass it along. Wither fortune or blessing it may be, know ultimately the odds sway on your input. How are you setting yourself up?
